Toyota's commercial truck company will pay $1.6 billion for faking emissions tests

The truck manufacturer, a Toyota subsidiary, has agreed to plea guilty to federal conspiracy charges and pay a total of $1.6 billion to settle civil claims after regulators discovered it was submitted fraudulent data to evade emissions standards.
